Michelina Docimo, CSBA, is a certified sustainable building advisor, freelance writer, project manager extraordinaire, master gardener, holistic thinker, ravenous reader, people watcher, and incessant doodler. Fusing left and right side thinking, Michelina brings analytical and creative skills to every project with a consistent presence and focus from conceptualization through to completion. With ten years experience in environmental industries, Michelina has provided support in market research, strategy generation, communications development, and streamlining operations to maximize efficiency. Her goal is to bring sustainability and a sense of art and soul into every project, capturing its unique qualities that will benefit not only the client, but the community at large.
Michelina attended the University of Connecticut and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture and Natural Resources with a concentration in landscape architecture and a Bachelors of Arts in English literature. She is also a CT Master Gardener. Her blog is Myartobiography, which focuses on sustainability issues in design and living. Michelina's writing has been published in CT Green Scene, The New England Real Estate Journal, ARTES Magazine, d'Art International Magazine, and Culture Catch. In addition, she is a contributing writer for Architecture for Humanity's book, Design Like You Give A Damn, 2nd Edition, due to be published in 2011. She is also in the process of writing her first book based on local artist, Kathy Hirshon's work, Spirited Trees. |
